We recently redecorated a entire 15 room house (everything from paint selection to curtains and textiles to furniture) and we've documented the entire process on my sites. This site deals with how we learned to make make curtains (and ended up making about 30 pairs of curtains total, the rest we bought online).

Why I Chose to Make My Own Curtains
For us it wasn't about money, though everyone likes to save a buck. What bothered us was that we had a plan for each room, and no curtains we had seen came close to matching that plan (aside from a few great sources which I will showcase at the end of this article). We started out with little sewing experience (it's been years), and wanted to develop that skill.
